JDRF is recycling and we would like your help. We are recycling empty laser, fax, copier, and inkjet cartridges, used cell phones, laptops, palm pilots and iPods, Video game Systems, and Digital Cameras. Recycling is a win-win for all of us. It keeps these harmful items out of our landfills, and secondly it converts "Trash into Cash" to benefit JDRF and its search for a cure for Type 1 diabetes.

The recyclable items are collected and forwarded to "Cartridges for Kids", our recycle contact. JDRF is among more than 12,500 non-profit organizations nationwide that are helping the environment by recycling.

How can you help? Start collecting all inkjet cartridges, toner cartridges, cell phones, iPods etc. and let me know when you have a container full, or need them picked up. I have small collection containers, approximately 12"x 12" x 12" that can be placed in a visible, high traffic area in order provide a convenient and attractive collection container and also remind people of our recycle program.

My granddaughter Jessica and I thought this recycle program would be a good way for us to raise funds for JDRF and also help our environment. Jessica is 10 and was diagnosed at 6. Working with her to find a cure has become a very important challenge for me and the rest of our family. I hope you will join us in turning Your Trash into Cash for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

If you have any questions about this program, please contact me.
